SONGFEST is a non-profit organization.

Songfest is a Bible-believing, conservative ministry that provides Christians with Christ-honoring music on cassette tapes, CD's, and videos, as well as books about the present dangerous trends in Contemporary Christian Music and its ecumenical drift towards apostasy.

The SONGFEST ministry began in 1992 when pianist Rudy Atwood (of the Old Fashioned Revival Hour), along with organist Harold DeCou, teamed up with Gordon Sears in conducting old-fashioned hymnsings.

SONGFEST provides an option for those who desire to listen to music that stirs the heart more than the emotions and feeds the spirit rather than the flesh.

Too many music publishing and recording businesses care mostly about profits and have little or no interest in their music's message. It should be the other way around: the message is what real Christian music is all about.

The sacred music SONGFEST offers is not only spiritually uplifting, but much of it is historical in the sense that it relates to the days of world-wide radio evangelism. Those days are gone, but there is a great need to retain the memories and preserve this great music for our children and grandchildren.

The music produced by the Old Fashioned Revival Hour on radio from the 1930's through the 1960's was like a fortaste of heaven. Beautiful choir and

quartet music, along with Rudy Atwood, often called the "incomparable" gospel pianist. This music is carefully preserved and digitally remastered for your listening pleasure. We provide only Christ-honoring music on this site.

We offer books that explain and inform Christians of the carefully designed deception tied in to to today's Christian Contemporary Music. This deception is leading countless millions down the road of apostasy (a turning away from truth). According to Colossians 3:16, worship music is for the purpose of "teaching and admonishing one another" . . . . not for mere enjoyment or entertainment.
